Sophie is an early career exploration geologist with an interest in the formation and enrichment of critical mineral systems. Sophie’s passion lies in showing young people the mining and exploration industry early, the impact that they can have in these industry, creating lasting change on the future of our planet.
Sophie believes that with more young, fresh voices more out of the box ideas will come, and diverse decision making and new technologies will arise. She believes that these have the power to change the way we explore and mine the minerals which are critical to lead us to a fossil fuel free future. Becoming more efficient and effective explorers and miners will reduce our impact on the earth significantly, Sophie believes. Sophie believes that an essential foundation for innovative ideas and driven teams is a diverse and understanding leadership.
Sophie strives to always continue learning new skills, exploring new ideas, getting outside of her comfort zone and pushing the envelope.
