Stephanie’s passions are with field-based conservation research, specifically carnivore adaptation to humans, and learning from and incorporating communities into conservation. Stephanie has studied human-wildlife interactions throughout America and Africa, working at remote sites and diverse habitats ranging from alpine to savanna, and species from endangered birds to lions and hyenas. She has spent the past decade co-leading a team of conservationists and Maasai warriors. Stephanie is a member of the PRIDE Lion Conservation Alliance comprised of women leaders of lion conservation groups in addition to African Lion Working Group, and a research affiliate at the University of Cape Town.
