Theresa Fruth
(She/Her)
Lecturer
Theresa is an experimental astroparticle physicist. Her research brings her deep underground into old gold mines to look for the elusive dark matter. She firmly believes that furthering our knowledge of the universe is key to understanding humanities role within it and addressing current issues.
Theresa grew up in Germany and obtained her MSci in Natural Sciences from University College London (UCL) in 2015. She went on to specialise in experimental particle physics during her DPhil at the University of Oxford and continued to pursue her research interest in the search for the elusive Dark Matter as a postdoc at UCL. She now is a lecturer in the School of Physics at The University of Sydney.
In her free time, she likes to dance, try herself at arts and crafts and tend to her small but growing garden.
