Tine is a board certified veterinary specialist in equine internal medicine with a special interest in infectious diseases and foals. She is intrigued by different countries, different cultures, and different viewpoints and has used every opportunity to experience new environments. While originally from Germany, she trained and worked in private practice and academia in New Zealand, Belgium, Germany, and the United States. Four years ago, Tine and her dog relocated to South Africa where she is currently working and teaching at the University of Pretoria while also pursuing a PhD researching African Horse Sickness. Tine is a dedicated clinician who is hoping to inspire the next generation of veterinarians. In her free time, Tine enjoys being outside, going hiking and camping.
