Walentina is an Environmental and Sanitary Engineer and Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional, who has a strong passion for sustainability and delivering positive outcomes for the environment and community in which she works. She has 15+ year’s work experience including nine years in the construction industry in Australia, on development environmental and sustainability strategies, management plans and systems, and developing the company sustainability report analysing performance and improvements.
She is currently providing sustainability leadership to the Brisbane Metro Project through the Infrastructure Sustainability Rating Scheme. This includes implementation of sustainability practices and initiatives that will result in efficiencies and reductions to waste generated, consumption of energy, water, and materials. Walentina is a firm believer in encouraging knowledge sharing internally and throughout the industry to drive better outcomes.
Walentina is an enthusiastic advocate for women in STEMM and in the construction sector and would like to drive change for her 2 daughters and all the younger girls to make a positive change for their future.
She enjoys spending time with her family in nature, camping, swimming, walking, diving and exploring natural reserves.
