Allie is pursuing her passion for regenerative medicine by conducting research in lung tissue engineering on her way to a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. In her first year of graduate school she co-founded and led a medical device start-up focused on helping patients with chronic lung disease. She is dedicated to increasing diversity in STEM, particularly engineering, and is President of the Society of Women Engineers at Yale, of which she is also a founding member. She hails from rural Pennsylvania and received her Bachelor’s in BME from Tufts University, where she was a trip leader for Tufts Wilderness Orientation.
