Stacey is a social economist with a research focus on the interaction between natural capital and rural livelihoods in developing countries. Prior to joining SEI, she worked for the Toledo Institute for Development and Environment in Belize and as a Foreign Service Officer for the US Department of State in Washington, DC and Hong Kong. She has an MSc with Merit in Development Management from the London School of Economics. Stacey, an American, is the mother of three children raised in six countries across four continents.
