Across the globe, seismic shifts in policy, funding and tone are having a very real impact on the leadership journeys of many people.
They are being felt in workplaces: in access to funding, in representation in decision making and in our courage to speak up.
They are being felt in homes. They are felt in all geographies and for all ages.
And that matters. Diversity matters.
We see leadership as the responsibility of many, a shared endeavour driven by collaboration, inclusion, shared purpose, and courage. It’s woven into the very fabric of who Homeward Bound is as a global initiative.
We exist to elevate the visibility of women and non-binary leaders with STEMM backgrounds, who often work twice as hard to be heard, recognised, and included.
We are a networked community spanning borders, disciplines, and generations. We are daughters, partners, wives, mothers, siblings, sisters, and dreamers.
We stand together.
Our values have never been more important: Inclusivity, Collaboration, Legacy Mindset, and being Trusted with Assets. These values are more than just words. They are anchors in uncertain times, guiding us toward the kind of leadership the world now calls for.
We remind ourselves, and all people who care, that leadership is forged in challenge. It is crucial that we hold together in this moment of change, and we must keep showing up for one another, and for the future we believe in.
At Homeward Bound, we will continue to:
• Amplify the lived experience and leadership of our global community
• Create inclusive spaces for connection, learning and dialogue
• Collaborate with our alumnae, partners, and wider network to uphold and advocate for our shared values
With kindness,
Homeward Bound Organisation
